You often hear sportsmen and women tell reporters that performing on home soil increases the pressure on them to do well, but the local P1 racers and riders in Cardiff will be hoping that the support of the Welsh crowds will spur them on to success.

Reigning P1 SuperStock champions James Norvill and Charlie Parsons-Young crisscross the Atlantic all summer to compete in both the UK and USA series, but for this round they will only have a short journey from their home in Newport. Representing Pembrokeshire in the Pertemps boat, which is currently leading the championship table after three rounds, will be navigator Daisy Coleman. Her brother Sam, who manages their family hotel in Saundersfoot, drove the Visit Wales boat in Hull earlier this month, but he will return to his normal role in Cardiff as team manager of Pertemps Racing.
