Scottish Tourism Week is underway (11th -18th March) and P1 Chief Operating Officer Robert Wicks will be heading north to speak at the inaugural Sail Scotland Conference which is part of the national programme.
Sponsored by the Inverclyde Council and Caledonian MacBrayne, the Conference will share best practice and encourage strategic collaboration within sailing and marine tourism in Scotland in support of the Scottish Marine Tourism Strategy. Robert will present a case study from the build-up to the 2016 Scottish Grand Prix of the Sea in June that will focus on event planning and stakeholder engagement.
“A week-long series of seminars, conferences, business networking events and receptions is taking place across Scotland and I am looking forward to meeting the delegates at the Sail Scotland event to highlight the importance of partnerships with key stakeholders which is at the heart of our commercial and operational activities” explains Robert.
The P1 race event at Greenock on the River Clyde on the weekend of 18-19 June will be the second round of this year’s P1 SuperStock and AquaX UK Championships.
