Grand Prix of the Sea
P1 SuperStock is a major sporting festival over five weekends between May and October attracting thousands of spectators who attend the free event.
The race courses are close to shore, tight and fast, making it a great spectacle for the public and demanding on the drivers and navigators. P1 SuperStock events are held in venues around the UK and Ireland. Six races are held over the race weekend and last 20-30 minutes each.
At the heart of the race village is the Fan Zone with entertainment, music and refreshments. The event is heavily promoted through the local Council and Tourist Board resulting in thousands of spectators lining the shore to watch the spectacular racing.
In 2011 SuperStock becomes a truly international event with the series being rolled out to a minimum of six additional countries to provide a national league series for each country. International racing will be promoted through a league of champions tournament, leading to an overall world cup tournament in time.
By 2012 it is hoped that SuperStock will be racing in 12 countries.
