AZ-TEC RACING JOINS THE 150 CLASS

A new contender is set to climb into the ring with the 150 pilots and battle it out for the remainder of the season. A hardcore skier who's prepared to jump out of helicopters to carve-up the best slopes, Azam M. Ali, has now got his sights firmly locked on the P1 SuperStock series.

As Pwllheli looms onto the calendar, we grab five minutes with the young-gun team leader to find out what exactly Az-Tec Racing has in-store for the rest of the series.

Q. What was it about SuperStock that caught your attention?

A. The speed, exhilaration and great team spirit I felt when I attended previous races.

Q. We've heard that you've had some interesting boating experiences; can you tell us about these?

A. I have attended many of the Powerboat P1 races and had the great opportunity to get in the start boat for one of the P1 races, which was an incredible experience.

Q. Does any part of the racing worry you?

A. Safety is our main concern but losing is our worst fear.

Q. Who is your Navigator and how do you know each other?

A. Jesus Esteve. We met at a poker game at a friend's house around 5 years ago and got along very well since then.

Q. There is some fierce competition in the 150 class, which team have you guys got your eye on?

A. We would like to give Team Eclipse and Premier Cru a run for their money!

Q.  What are you doing to prepare for the races?

A. Training with the best - Neil Holmes!
