AZTEC RACING GEARS UP FOR SEASON STARTER

AZTEC RACING GEARS UP FOR SEASON STARTER

After Aztec Racing’s dramatic end to the season I’ve been waiting anxiously for my boat to be repaired. The winter was a bit cold but now that the weather's warming up (sort of) and my boat is on the way to being fully functional, I will be making a few trips down to Southampton and out onto the Solent. I will be teaming up with Jesus Esteve again for this coming season and we’re excited to get in the boat to do some tactical training of which we didn’t have enough last year. We were battling to pass Team Purple to take 5th place in the second 150hp race in Southampton before our kill cord came out after having overtaken  two boats ,  so I feel we have a good idea but need to build on this. We’ll be planning tactics for all situations including when battling boats from both sides!

The season is starting in around 3 months and not only Aztec Racing but other teams are all looking forward to the great new venues, getting out on the water as much as possible and are excited to see the new fleet of boats.

Due to my last race (in Lymington) being seriously rough (and seriously exhilarating) I decided to see the physiotherapist and Jesus and I will be starting a planned out vigorous training schedule from early next week to get ourselves physically fit and strong enough to withstand the potential rough waters and rough landings after catching some crazy air (which we both look forward to)!

Now that we’ve learnt the ropes we can’t wait to get another season under our belts, win some trophies and leave everyone in our wake!
