CROWDS GATHER TO SEE THE P1 PANTHER AT KEY WEST

Hundreds of people from all over the world took a moment to get up close and personal with the P1 Panther at the Key West Poker Run hosted by the Florida Powerboat Club.

P1 SuperStock USA was an official sponsor of the event and had four Panthers on display at the Conch Republic Dock. A large crowd of boat enthusiasts visited the display throughout the weekend at the Poker Run Village, with hands-on access to the Panther. Those who expressed serious interest in the boat were taken out on a demo ride and cruised around the scenic Florida Keys.

SuperStock USA teams Oregon Custom Marine and Ocala Gran Prix attended the Poker Run and announced that they would race again in the 2012 season. Both teams joined the fleet late in the 2011 season and had great showings at the final event in San Diego.

A new team also signed up to race in the 2012 season, team Curacao from the Caribbean Islands. The Curacao team owner experienced the Panther first-hand by participating in the Poker Run from Miami to Key West. The team is looking forward to participating in the series, and ultimately bringing the series to the Caribbean.

A few familiar UK faces also made the trip to Key West. UK driver Shelley Jory-Leigh of team Helvetia Wealth took the Panther out for a drive and also met a few of the U.S. teams. Jory-Leigh and her navigator Dan Smith of the Helvetia Wealth crew finished fourth in the 2011 SuperStock UK Championship standings.

Kim Collins and Dan Cramphorn from the UK were also in attendance. Collins and Cramphorn drove the Peters and May SuperStock boat in Hull in the SuperStock UK series.
