Going Lean joins wildcards for Spain and Portugal

The Going Lean SuperSport-class outfit will compete in the final two races of the 2008 season

A third wildcard team has signed up for next weekend’s Vigo Grand Prix of the Sea in Spain, joining the Team Tullio Abbate and Team Konrad Propulsion Systems SuperSport-class teams in the penultimate round of 2008. The Going Lean outfit will also compete in the season-closing Portuguese Grand Prix of the Sea in Portimao.

The team is run by driver Dean Gibbs, who will take the pilot’s seat alongside experienced championship-winning powerboat racer-turned powerboating coach Neil Holmes on the throttles. They’ll be running their Yanmar-powered Sunseeker XS2000 hull in the two events.
