Ana Virtiato – the presenter ‘Portugal No Coracao’ on national TV channel RTP (www.rtp.pt) – has said she was thrilled to pay a visit to watch the Powerboat P1 championship after the programme broadcast live from the heart of the Marina Portimao paddock in the run-up to Friday’s PowerPole session.

Portugal No Coracao’ is one of two live television broadcasts from this weekend’s Portuguese Grand Prix of the Sea, with Sport TV3 (www.sporttv.pt) showing live race coverage of the potential title-deciding races on Sunday morning and afternoon.

“This is an amazing event,” Virtiato said. “I like motorsport, and Powerboat P1 is a fine example of what can catch people’s attention. I’m very pleased to be here, and we had a very warm reception. This is an excellent way of showing our country – and specifically the city of Portimao – to an international audience from around the world.”
