Powerboat P1 proves big hit in Genoa

The Powerboat P1 championship had a major presence at this year’s Genoa Boat Show, with series management, teams and manufacturers all attending one of the world’s top marine industry events. Celebrating its 48th anniversary this year, the event played host to 1500 exhibitors and 2500 boats in the Genoa marina.
Among the top Powerboat P1 Evolution-class names in attendance were #10 Fantastic 1 Cigarette Racing Team Europe crew members Luca Formilli Fendi and Lino Di Biase and #88 Kiton Outerlimits team boss and throttleman Giancarlo Cangiano, while the #38 Baia High Performance SuperSport crew’s Roy Capasso represented his team on the family-run Baia Yachts stand.
Also in attendance were Powerboat P1 CEO Jim O’Toole and Head Of Business Development Richard Marsh, meeting existing and potential future teams.
