Metamarine competing in Istanbul
The P1 Management Committee decided to award the #53 Metamarine Pignolo 53 50% of the points the team won in Sunday's Endurance race for Saturday.
Metamarine Pignolo 53 were unable to race on Saturday at the Turkish Grand Prix of the Sea in Istanbul due to an unidentified fuel blockage just before the Sprint race.
The Metamarine team cited the fuel flow meter as the reason their engines had stopped. When this was inspected nothing could be found to be wrong with the system. However, when it is not in the fuel line the engines worked perfectly.
50% of points won on Sunday were added to the team's Sprint race tally as there is nothing obviously wrong. The reasoning behind he awarding of 50% of the points was that there is not anything that can be seen to be wrong. The system works well for a period of time and then stops.
As the problem remains unidentified, 50% was deemed fair by the P1 Management Committee.
