John Wilson welcomes new sponsor

Winning the opening P1 SuperStock round in Jersey had a silver lining for John Wilson as his outstanding performance sealed a new title sponsor with Pertemps recruitment partnership coming on board for the next two years.

John’s well known Premier Cru boat name and livery has become a thing of the past as his P1 Panther is now in striking red, white and blue Pertemps colours. He retains race number 50, which has added significance as Pertemps is celebrating its golden anniversary in 2011.

John commented: ”We are really pleased to have such a well known name as Pertemps on board as our title sponsor. The P1 Panther 28SS boat is full of new technology which appeals to a contemporary business like Pertemps. The championship’s one-design P1 250 class which promotes a level playing field for all the competitors also appeals to Pertemps.”

Pertemps is based in the West Midlands but has offices nationwide including Plymouth, venue for the second round of the championship on 16/17th July. John and navigator Neil Scarborough are expecting to look after a large contingent of Pertemps staff coming to support the team as it bids to extend its championship points lead.

We felt there was a good synergy between John’s team and Pertemps as we both continuously strive to be the leaders in our chosen fields.  We also want to support local people and with John being from the West Midlands and Pertemps being founded in the area 50 years ago, there was a great link, especially as John’s racing number is 50.”
