Motorsport UK, the new motorsport show that promotes all categories and types of national racing, has confirmed the P1 Superstock powerboat championship will be exhibiting at its inaugural event in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall, Ricoh Arena in Coventry on the 5th- 6th November.
Championship winner John Wilson (Coleshill, Birmingham) will be displaying his title-winning P1 Panther 28SS boat, named Pertemps. The sleek 250hp boat was the class of the SuperStock field this year winning three Grands Prix of the Sea and finishing on the podium a further three times.
P1 SuperStock UK Championship Manager Paolo Callea commented: “This is an interesting opportunity to promote SuperStock and powerboat racing at this new motorsport show. Potential competors will probably be surprised with how affordable racing in SuperStock can be compared to car racing and rallying.”
Martin Capenhurst, Founder and Organiser of Motorsport UK adds, “I am delighted that P1 Superstock has decided to exhibit at Motorsport UK. For a championship of this profile to exhibit at Motorsport UK demonstrates both the profile and the variety of motorsport that will be showcased at Motorsport UK”
The event will showcase a diverse range of suppliers, manufacturers and championships, with exhibitors including Ginetta Sportscars, Race2Recovery, 750 Motor Club, Formula Kart Stars and the Monoposto Racing Club. The event will feature a number of British motorsport stars who will take part in a series of interviews on the Motorsport UK Live Stage hosted by sports presenter Gemma Scott. She is no stranger to P1 having presented Sky Sports coverage of the series this year.
