Powerboat P1 Management has agreed a deal with ESPN Star Sports to showcase highlights of the P1 SuperStock Championship 2010 series.

The UK-based powerboat racing competition, relaunched at the start of this year by the world's leading marine motorsport promoters, is midway through its 2010 calendar with Grand Prix of the Sea events taking place across the UK and Ireland between May and October.

The agreement with the pan-Asian broadcaster will see the UK's premier powerboat racing series televised in countries such as Bahrain, China, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and United Arab Emirates.

Robert Wicks, Chief Operating Officer for Powerboat P1, is thrilled to secure coverage of the P1 SuperStock Championship in exciting, new territories. He said: "Our relationship with ESPN is an important one and coverage in these new markets will help to broaden the appeal of the series by showcasing the qualities of cost-effective one-make series racing which are fundamental to the future success of powerboating."

The P1 SuperStock Championship will be broadcast on ESPN Star Sports' network from August.
