Kevin Hunt: We want to put Typhoo back on the podium

Parakarting Champion Kevin Hunt looks for powerboat racing success

Former British parakarting champion, Kevin Hunt, is looking to capture another title but this time in powerboat racing, navigating for team Typhoo in the 2015 P1 SuperStock Championship. Hunt excelled in parakarting, representing England in four European Championships and a single World Championship.

A natural athlete, Hunt took part in the 1989 London Marathon, recording an incredible time of under three and a half hours.

A former Motocross driver, Hunt made the transition into powerboats last year and is hoping to provide long standing sponsors, Typhoo, with the success they deserve.

“We’re there to get podiums. We want to put Typhoo back on the podium and we’re working hard to do that.” explained Hunt, who is on the verge of celebrating his 40th year in the fire brigade.

“At the end of the season, we want to be in the top three. It’ll be really tight, close-racing throughout the whole season. Everybody has a chance to win it this year.”
