An adrenaline junkie, with a past in MotoCross, Ryan O’Conner has finally found his weapon of choice with the jet-ski. Starting out as a bit of fun on holiday, he took it up competitively doing the rounds on the closed-course circuit, before AquaX came along. First stop this year – Scarborough:
“I’m looking forward to Scarborough. It’s quite a nice place. To get the event to be held there is huge for the town. It’ll attract a huge crowd as well.” said O’Conner.
O’Conner will compete in the 250 Class, up against the ‘absolutely brilliant’ reigning champion Duncan Johnstone on the Yamaha FZR, but for the man who makes his living roofing, it’s 300 Class champion Phil Pope who he’s excited to see compete.
“There are a few good riders in the 300 Class. It’ll really see if Phil Pope win the 300 title on the Yamaha FZS against a lot of the Kawasaki. Anything’s possible really!”
AquaXers are in store for an incredible season so join us for the season’s opening round down Scarborough’s South Bay, May 30th. Don’t miss it!
