This week P1 Marine Foundation presented students from Chambersbury Primary School, in Hemel Hempstead, with a special award certificate for helping to protect the marine environment.

The Year 6 students took part in an initiative where they were asked to produce an information leaflet called ‘The Wonderful World of Water’. This formed part of a lesson in which children looked at the marine and coastal environment to raise their awareness of the damage being caused to it and how we can help.

Prior to the activity the students watched the P1 Planet animated film
www.youtube.com/P1Planet which was co-produced by P1 Marine Foundation. The short film outlines the importance of the marine environment and the increasing threats to our seas and coastline.
