Rumble on the Humber

After the wild conditions of the last round faced by the teams in Gopsort, the calm waters of the Humber offered some relief on the opening day of the P1 Hull Grand Prix of the Sea.

At the halfway mark, it’s all to play for as the four leading championship challengers switched positions over the first two races.

Current championship leaders Pertemps will be looking for a better day tomorrow after their three closest rivals finished ahead of them in both races.

Reigning champions GD Environmental are seeking to get their season back on track and made their intentions clear today with a first and second place finish.

P1 chief operating officer Robert Wicks told reporters at the race centre at Hull Marina: “It has been a tremendous day of racing on our fifth visit to Humberside and the results are a great reflection of the SuperStock one design racing formula with competitive racing leaving the 2015 championship battle wide open.”
