After the unfortunate incident in Bournemouth last year, Russell Marmon returns to competitive action at the 2016 Dale Power Solutions P1 Yorkshire Grand Prix of the Sea on 14-15 May.
Having only just managed to get back on the water and prepare for the upcoming season, one of the title favourites enters this weekend’s round of racing with modest expectations.
Russell said: “My own expectation of victory this year is very low. I have been slowly recovering from injury and surgery just a few months ago and at the ripe old age of 53 it doesn't get any easier! I have not been able to train until just the last couple of weeks so I feel I’m starting the season on the back foot. A top five placement i hope will be realistic”

As the season progresses, fans can expect the two-time 300 Class champ to be right up there in the mix for the top spot on the podium.
He continued: “I hope to climb the rankings as I get fitter and stronger again as the season progresses. The competition is undoubtedly the strongest it has ever been so fierce rivalry will be present with riders investing more and more in top class race machines and race preparation.”
