After weather conditions forced Saturday’s racing to be cancelled in Scarborough, Tim took his new Kawasaki for a ride and immediately felt the cold. A lack of seat time and training meant he suffered the worst round he’s ever had.
“My speed was there at the start but comfort on the machine and lack of training cost me after around 10 mins,” Tim explained.
“The conditions were tricky and very big, I have ridden in conditions like that before and it doesn't faze me. I'm disappointed not to have been able to offer my best for the round. I only went out in the one race I was that disappointed and cold. Looking back now, I should’ve picked up points and been more strategic. This is something I will try not to happen again. Scotland will be completely different.”
Tim heads into the round 2 of the P1 AquaX UK Pro Am Enduro Series with a whole new mind-set.
“I'm looking forward to the next round - the weather the past week has certainly improved and if it holds out, it will be a fantastic weekend. I've had some time to ride the boat so I'm looking forward to mixing it up.
“We are all there for the win and that's the goal. A win would be amazing, but to be honest I'm looking for top 3 or 4 if it's not a flat water race. If it is flat water, then top 5 would be acceptable.”
