Francis has held the top spot for 18 months, but that could all change in Sarasota this weekend. Reigning USA Enduro champion Mike ‘Klipper’ Klippenstein needs to finish within 6 places of Francis to overhaul him following Klipper’s sensational form at the end of the 2015 season. Also in the mix is Indonesian rider, Aero Aswar. Aero could move from 2nd to 1st in the rankings if he secures a podium position and both Klipper and Francis fall outside the top 10 in Sarasota.
The consistency of British rider, Phil Pope could move him from 3rd to 1st if Klipper, Francis and Aswar all fail to make the top 10 this weekend. Regardless of the Sarasota results, if ‘The Pope’ performs again in Gosport, England next week he is guaranteed a top 3 position in the rankings.
The P1 AquaX World Rankings will be announced on Monday July 4 and again on Monday July 11, 2016.
