James Norvill and Charlie Parsons-Young made a blistering start to the year to take the Danish Grand Prix of the Sea victory in resounding fashion. They opened the UK Championships with a 100 percent record in their four races off the shores of Aalborg – two of which were won by one second.
They added to their weekend win in Denmark when they returned to British Isles as they achieved third in Scotland to hold onto top spot in the overall standings. They amassed 60 points over the four races courtesy of a spot in second along with third and a pair of fourth-place finishes.
Despite being aloft the table, they did not compete in the final meeting of the UK series in Milford Haven which saw them drop to seventh overall, but they were outstanding when on the water and sure to be one of the title-contenders in 2018.
