Getting involved in Powerboat P1 – offshore racing’s fastest-growing series – is a great way to give exposure to your brand. Last year, over 280,000 people attended the six rounds of the championship and 100 million people in 180 countries across the world watched coverage of the events on television, giving the 13 boat builders and the 10 engine manufacturers competing in the championship – as well as a huge roster of team sponsors and Powerboat P1 partners – huge international exposure.

Journalists on the internet, and in newspapers and magazines gave Powerboat P1 an effective £1.8 million in print media value – up 40 percent on the year before. Host cities for the events also benefit hugely from tourism. Valetta, the host city for the Maltese Grand Prix of the Sea, benefited to the tune of two million euros, thanks to influx of 800 people representing teams, guests and media, as well as the thousands of race spectators.
