TEAM PROFILE
Could this be the year that the #47 Silverline Buzzi Bullet crew – the perpetual bridesmaids of Supersport – finally make it down the world championship title-winning aisle? There’s no reason why not.
The runners-up of 2007 (as well as 2004 and 2005) are fielding an virtually unchanged – read ‘front-running’ – line-up for 2008 and it’s clear that the combination of team owner and throttleman Drew Langdon and pilot Jan Falkowski have the pace, talent and determination to take it all the way. All the team need is season-long consistency, something that slipped through their fingers in 2007.
Langdon and Falkowski are familiar with their Cummins-powered Buzzi, which can live with the very best of them on its day. As a result, the other leading contenders will be keeping a very vigilant eye on the Buzzi team’s progress. If you want to win the 2008 Supersport title, you’re going to have to beat the #47 Silverline Buzzi Bullet crew along the way.
2007 RECORD
The #47 Silverline Buzzi Bullet team finished second in the Supersport championship, behind the Roscioli Hotels Roma-backed #44 Racing Project outfit. The highlight of the season was a victory in Germany, backed by podium finishes in Malta, Italy, and Portugal. A stronger second half to the season, and Bullet Racing might well have wrested the crown from the Racing Project crew.
