TEAM PROFILE
The #53 Skater 399 team enter their second season of Powerboat P1 full of optimism, and with a new engine supplier. The team will once again use the sleek, deadly and potent Skater V399 hull, but the Mercury engines of 2007 are gone and in their place sits 1280hp of muscle supplied by Ilmor, whose engines powered the championship-winning #99 King Of Shaves Team Fountain boat in 2007. After a difficult first season in the Evolution class in 2007, the #53 Skater 399 squad will certainly be hoping to do better in 2008, and you can expect a spirited performance from one of the most glamorous teams in the Powerboat P1 series.
2007 RECORD
In a debut season with limited outings, the #53 Skater Pignolo crew finished the championship in 10th and last place in the Evolution class. The team came close to scoring points on a number of occasions, and will be looking to break into the big league in 2008.
