TEAM PROFILE
The Al & Al team are making their Powerboat P1 debut in 2008 and their boat #22 Blue Shaft will compete in the Supersport class. The boat started the season named in honour of Sergio Carpentieri, the legendary Italian powerboat racer who sadly lost his life during the 2007 Powerboat P1 Grand Prix of Germany.
Like Carpentieri, pilot Alfredo Amato and throttleman Alfredo Nuzzo were both born in Naples. The Shipworks Carpenter 38 was designed by engineer Angelo d’Ettore and this season is powered by Mercury V8 engines. Emotions are bound to be high but the Al & Al crew will be focused on the job in hand to ensure they do justice to the memory of the man many will remember fondly as big Sergio.
