British-based Martin Lai is a family man and successful businessman, with a chain of restaurants, but he remains proud of and true to his Chinese heritage. He isn’t one to back off when he’s piloting his #08 Phoenix TV SuperSport class boat, though. He picked up the ‘Moment of the Year’ award in 2007 for his dramatic, flat-out, 60-degree tilt as his Sun Lik Beer-backed Ocean Dragon Racing entry hit a rival’s wash at full throttle. Dramatic stuff.

Powerboat P1 racers don’t come more action-packed than Sarah Donohue. In addition to fitness training, marathon running and powerboat racing (in a variety of top-level categories), Sarah has been a dancer, TV presenter, pin-up and charity worker for the British Army, as well as a motivational speaker. As if that wasn’t enough, she was a stunt driver for James Bond movie 'The World Is Not Enough'. Her rivals will be thankful she doesn’t have grenade launchers or missiles in her Powerboat P1 entry.
