TEAM PROFILE
The Offshore Rana’s team have returned to Powerboat P1’s Supersport class this year after spending 2007 in the Evolution class. The team have retained their Donzi 38 ZR Competition boat, though – a design that has won the Powerboat P1 championship before, and 10 titles in its first five years of manufacture. The outfit is also once again putting its faith in Mercury engines.
Young racing talent Federico Terenziani, son of team owner Franco Terenziani, is in the throttle seat for his third season of Powerboat P1. His experience in the Evolution class last year should prove valuable, but the white heat of competition in Supersport burns no less fiercely than in the faster class. Maurizio Di Stasio completes the Italian team’s line-up as pilot.
2007 RECORD
Offshore Rana’s competed in the Evolution class last season with their #59 The Way to Happiness-backed boat. Piloted by Federico Terenziani, with Antonia Dell’Anna working the throttles, the team came seventh in the standings, with a strong flourish after third places in Belgium and Portugal.
