Benjamin van Riet (BEL)

Benjamin van Riet has been hooked on Powerboat P1 since 2006 and is a self-confessed speed junkie. Before joining the championship, he competed in North Sea Offshore powerboat racing. He hasn’t always raced in boats, though – he used to race hanging off the back of them on skis. He did so very successfully and is a former Belgian and Benelux champion at the discipline. He also finished fourth in the famous Bridge to Bridge waterski race in Australia. Apart from waterborne thrills, his loves include his Porsche 356 A and Ducati 1098 S.

Robbe is a keen wakeboarder and former Enduro racer. He enters Powerboat P1 with a season of North Sea Offshore racing behind him. Like Benjamin, he has a Porsche 356b, which he loves, and classes himself as a speed freak.
