TITLES ON THE LINE AS ST PETE HOSTS MONSTER ENERGY TRIPLE CROWN FINALE

July 23rd 2025

The 5th Annual Monster Energy St. Petersburg Powerboat P1 Grand Prix, presented by Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, promises exhilarating powerboat and jet ski racing this weekend at the downtown waterfront area and Pier District. The event is the final round of the Monster Energy P1 Offshore Triple Crown and P1 AquaX National Championship series, with titles across all series on the line.

The weekend includes a Pit Party on Friday night at Albert Whitted Park from 6-10 pm featuring vendors, food trucks, live music by Andy Velo, and plenty of powerboats and jet ski teams on display. This event is fun for the entire family, offering a chance for the public to meet and greet participating race teams. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, over 50 powerboats, reaching speeds up to 160 mph, and 30 AquaX jet ski riders will compete for the checkered flag. Admission is free to the public for the entire weekend.

Race fans wanting a premium spot to watch the races can purchase tickets to an elevated VIP Viewing experience at the end of the St. Pete Pier directly across from the Start/Finish Line. Guests will enjoy complimentary food and beverages and a LIVE stream of all the racing action.

Craig Campbell, Director of Community & Brand Engagement for Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, added, “The St. Pete-Clearwater destination is the home of major sporting events throughout the year, and we are proud to host this year’s championship race. Visitors travel from near and far to experience the speed and thrill of the Grand Prix, all set against the backdrop of beautiful downtown St. Pete. The event continues to drive business to local retailers, hotels, and restaurants at America’s Favorite Beaches.”

A 60-minute live broadcast of the powerboat races will be televised on Racer Network (formerly MAV TV). A live stream broadcast of all the racing action on Saturday and Sunday will be shown on Powerboat P1’s YouTube and Facebook pages. A post-produced “behind the scenes” docuseries will also be produced, focusing on a few select teams.

Net proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the P1 Marine Foundation, which will be providing a donation to Tampa Bay Watch and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital during the Race Awards Ceremony on Sunday, September 7, at 6:30 pm.

St. Petersburg, FL, is the final stop for this year’s P1 Offshore series, following races previously held in New Orleans, LA, and Sheboygan, WI.
